This is all that remains of an old train derailleur. Apparently, as good will for allowing access to the land for cleanup they gave this damaged rail car to the property owner.
You can’t tell from the picture but it is pretty damaged on the other side of the car. Also, there are no wheels or coupling.
It does make for a nice picture. That is Mount Princeton in the back ground – one of Colorado’s many peaks above 14,000 ft.
We are officially on the new server.
